Simple Pear Salad

Aug 7, 2021

When the summer garden is abundant, a simple salad made with all your produce is the easy and satisfying way to go! This Simple Pear Salad was inspired by the pear trees that have been bountiful at the family farm this year as well as some lettuce grown from our very own Project Rooted seeds. Whatever you have grown this year, toss it into a salad!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 Cups Torn Lettuce (Any mild variety that is not overly bitter)
  • 1 Fresh Pear, Chopped into bite sized chunks
  • 1 Tablespoon Hemp Hearts
  • 2 Orange Yum Yum Peppers, Sliced
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Olive Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash and tear lettuce and toss with chopped pears and sliced peppers.

Sprinkle salad with Hemp Seeds and drizzle with Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil.

Served cold with a crusty baguette or toss in some legumes for an extra hearty meal.
